I had my doubts about a boutique dentist but tend surpassed my expectations! The service was great! My hygienist was friendly and gentle and explained everything clearly every step of the way. I am actually a little apprehensive of the dentist and was nervous from the moment I walked through the door. But my hygienist was calm and talked me through what they would be working on that day. I got my exam and cleaning. Midway through my dentist came in to explain my X-rays and the plan I would be on for the next couple visits. Once the cleaning was over I met with someone who explained my plan in detail and how I can edit my plan at anytime to fit my schedule or financial needs. I’m thrilled by my experience.

I have been going to Tend Navy Yard since 2021. They set me up with an incredible treatment plan that has allowed me to progress through all the procedures that I needed. My latest treatment earlier this year with Dr. Cevallos and Alexa was perfect. The care and attention to detail made all the difference. I had an amazing experience with Dr. Dan Kim! He was incredibly personable and took the time to thoroughly explain my dental issue in detail. I’ve been dealing with a recurring problem that two other dentists couldn’t resolve. Even one of whom nearly cost me a significant amount of money. Thankfully, Dr. Kim was able to get me on the right track, saving me from unnecessary stress and expense. I’ve also struggled with teeth grinding for as long as I can remember. We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions—without feeling rushed.

We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues—like early signs of decay or gum disease—before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that you can’t get rid of with brushing and flossing alone—and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
